At long last the defending State Champions are champions again! 5-6A District Champions that is!!

The clinching victory for Dragon Baseball, 19-11 and 11-1, came with tonight's 3-1 win over Eaton.

There was a pitcher's dual on the mound which emerged between the Dragon staff of four pitchers and the Eaton Eagles. Grant Golomb picked up the win in relief working two innings to pick up the W. The three other Dragon pitchers who saw mound time were starter Joe Steeber, sophomore reliever Ryan Pehrson and Luke Gornell. If you are wondering why I am not speaking about the Dragon offense, there was only one RBI in the pitcher's dual - it went to shortstop Austin Hale.

The Dragons now have a final week of district play to prepare for playoffs. The final regular season home game begins Tuesday, April 23rd at 7pm when the Dragons take on Timber Creek.
