There was a whisper in the air when this soccer season started that Dragon Soccer, while once a proud program, had seen its best days. This group of 16 seniors who celebrated their senior night tonight at Dragon Stadium was determined to put that narrative to rest. While there is much work still to do, the Dragons took their first step to restoring the luster to the program tonight. They won 3-0 over Eaton to clinch the 5-6A title.

The Dragons improved to an overall record of 19-0-3 and a district mark of 10-0-3 and left little doubt while doing so. They used their sparkling back line play and got another shut out by goalie Harrison Pustilnik to turn away Eaton. Offensively the Dragons were paced by Nolan Mikolasik, Carlos Trevino and John Dumbleton, your three goal scorers on the evening.

While tonight's accomplishment is wonderful this Dragon Soccer team has lived by the motto all year - Head Down and Keep Working - so they will go back to work tomorrow, looking for another something special. Their final match of the regular season is Friday, March 22 when they take on Timber Creek on the road.
