Lady Dragon Volleyball headed on the road for the first road match of 5-6A play vs. Denton Guyer tonight. And they earned their second straight set victory over the Wildcats. Remember the two teams met in the quarterfinals of the NISD Tournament earlier this season.

SLC, 28-5, 2-0, cruised to a first set win 25-17. The next set was even more of a command performance as the Lady Dragons pulled away to a 25-8 victory. The Wildcats weren't going to go away that quietly. The third set was much closer at 25-23.

LDVB was led in blocks by Annabelle Smith with 7. She also chipped in 6 aces from the service line. Head Coach Teresa Dunn said "Annabelle's blocking was very key tonight."

The birthday girl, Kendall Gilpin chipped in with her usual excellent defense with 12 digs. Harper Hallgren also had 12 to spur the defensive effort. Note in the state rankings released today Lady Dragon Volleyball moved up one spot to #7 while in the MaxPreps National composite computer rankings they are ranked #5.
