Lady Dragon Volleyball powered through a second straight day at the NWISD Classic without dropping a set. They defeated Austin Vandergrift 25-12 and 25-16. Because the tournament ran behind Lady Dragons had very little rest time before playing match two of the day against Mansfield Legacy. The ladies defeated Legacy by the ever popular score in this tournament of 25-12 and then 25-17. LDVB needed one more win over A&M Consolidated to clinch its spot in the gold bracket. Consolidated also had gone undefeated on day one of the tourney. No problem, the ladies rolled to a 25-17 and 25-10 day ender.

For those of you who are keeping count the team is now 6-0 at this tournament, having not dropped a set.

Day three could be a playoff preview, however. Six of the top eight remaining seeds are from 6A Region 1. Two of which are from our very own district 5-6A, beginning with Denton Guyer at 10:30 in the morning at Eaton HS. If the Lady Dragons defeat the Lady Wildcats they would face either fellow 5-6A district mate Byron Nelson or El Paso Coronado who defeated the Lady Dragons last weekend.

Head Coach Teresa Dunn summed up the day, "I didn't think we were our sharpest early. We had to warm up a little bit. Once that happened Harper Hallgren and Annabelle Smith had very strong days."
